During the development of the JT1, FiiO not only relied on the opinions of trusted experts, but also iterated with feedback from everyday music listeners. With a goal of lowering the barrier to hi-fi headphones, the core focus was on sound quality first, rather than frills or gimmicks.
Lightweight driver, heavyweight sound
The JT1 employs a 50mm dynamic driver, based around a PEK+PU+Aluminum polymer diaphragm carefully chosen after evaluating numerous materials. The lightweight nature of the driver allows it to move more quickly than its competitors to reproduce more subtle details, while the brass gasket support system means it also achieves low distortion and well-extended frequency response. The wide soundstage and robust yet controlled bass create a truly detailed and immersive sound.
Premium parts
To achieve superior sound over competitors in this price range, FiiO focused on using high quality parts wherever possible. To that end, the JT1 is equipped with high performance N52 magnets, a high-tension CCAW voice coil, and a carefully-designed driver diaphragm in order to achieve its natural and accurate sound.
Easy to drive
Thanks to the compact and lightweight driver diaphragm and voice coil, which are backed by highly powerful magnets, it is easy to obtain great sound with the JT1 — one doesn’t need a heavy-duty amplifier. In fact, it was designed to easily be driven by FiiO’s matching KA Series of audio dongles, making them a natural pairing with the JT1.
Elegant design
The JT1 consists of a stainless steel headband frame and lightweight ABS cavities housing the drivers, which are covered with a star-shaped, hollow aluminum cover. It’s a lightweight, simple, yet elegant design that is practical for comfortable wearing.
Adaptive headband
The JT1 features a vegan leather-wrapped adaptive suspension headband. Combined with the headphone’s light weight, the result is class-leading comfort and convenience; the headphone automatically floats on your head for more enjoyable listening sessions without the need for adjustments.
Detachable cable with microphone
The dual TRS cable is detachable, so you can easily replace or upgrade it in the future without needing to replace your headphones.
