JL Audio Dual 13.5" Gotham v2 Powered Subwoofer - G213V2-GLOSS

THE KING OF BASS
The beauty of the Gotham v2 subwoofer extends well beyond its exotic design and exceptional craftsmanship. These subwoofers deliver a weight and integrity of reproduction that can only come from a system that is always in control.
DUAL 13.5-INCH SUBWOOFERS
STUDIO-GRADE SIGNAL PROCESSING
4500 WATTS OF POWER
2-INCH THICK MOLDED FIBERGLASS ENCLOSURE
AVAILABLE IN GLOSS BLACK FINISH
SEPARATE, REMOVABLE FABRIC GRILLES FOR CONTROL PANEL AND DRIVERS

CLASS-D AMPLIFIER
When demanded by program material, the Gotham subwoofer’s prodigious switching amplifier can deliver 4500 watts of RMS power to take full advantage of the twin drivers’ 4 inches of peak-to-peak excursion capability. This ensures that Gotham can breeze through material that makes other subwoofers go into clipping, limiting or distress.

CABINET DETAILS
A luxurious, handcrafted gloss-black finish is complemented by machined aluminum and stainless steel accents for a look and feel that fits perfectly with the finest home furnishings.

POWERFUL SUBWOOFERS
Our in-room subwoofers are centered on the highest technology design from JL Audio — dual 13W7-HTs. Each unit features extreme excursion capability, with outstanding linearity and dynamic stability.

HANDCRAFTED ENCLOSURE
The body of the enclosure is molded in solid fiberglass with proprietary damping technologies and carefully engineered internal bracing to create a highly inert structure. The wall thickness exceeds 1 inch and requires precision CNC equipment to perform secondary machining of all openings before our skilled craftspeople prepare, finish and hand polish each one to the highest furniture-grade standards.

CONVENIENT CONTROL
A complete set of signal processing features is easily accessible on the top surface of the cabinet. These include a highly flexible low-pass filter, variable phase, switchable polarity, extreme low frequency trim and our powerful Digital Automatic Room Optimization (D.A.R.O.) system.
GOTHAM v2 TECHNOLOGIES
D.A.R.O. TECHNOLOGY
Exclusive D.A.R.O. technology from JL Audio uses a powerful onboard DSP to automatically optimize the subwoofer’s in-room frequency response. This leads to a superb listening experience, no matter where the subwoofer is placed.
DMA-OPTIMIZED WOOFER
Proprietary motor, suspension and cone modeling systems are used to achieve long, linear excursion capabilities with low distortion and powerful sound output.
FCAM™ TECHNOLOGY
This “floating cone attach method” of bonding the surround/cone assembly to the voice coil former/spider structure ensures proper surround geometry in the assembled speaker for better excursion control and dynamic voice coil alignment.
ENGINEERED LEAD-WIRE SYSTEM
Carefully engineered lead-wire design and attachments ensure controlled, quiet lead-wire behavior under the most extreme excursion demands.
ELEVATED FRAME COOLING™ TECHNOLOGY
This patented frame cooling design creates a pathway for high-velocity air to flow directly across the top plate of the speaker voice coil — cooling it for better power handling and improved reliability.
OVERROLL™ SURROUND TECHNOLOGY
By utilizing space otherwise wasted in conventional speakers, this ground-breaking innovation controls the W7-HT subwoofer’s massive excursion without sacrificing precious cone area.
RADIAL CROSS-DRILLED POLE-PIECE
Through machined holes on the outer wall of the pole-piece, this innovative venting system enhances thermal dissipation and power handling by directing air flow onto the voice coil former, working in conjunction with the Elevated Frame Cooling technology to effectively remove heat from the voice coil.
W-CONE TECHNOLOGY
Using two lightweight mineral-filled polypropylene skins bonded in a unique W-cone design, the W7-HT subwoofer combines extreme durability and moisture-resistance with extra rigidity for powerful bass performance.
HIGH-DAMPING FEEDBACK CIRCUITRY
This proprietary, discrete control circuit design allows our Class-D switching amplifiers to maintain excellent damping factors for improved transient behavior and fidelity.
