JL Audio 8" Dual Fathom Enclosed In-wall Subwoofer System with SA-600W Amplifier - IWS-SYS-208

REMARKABLE BASS FROM CONCEALED SPACES
Born from the same technologies as our freestanding powered subwoofers, these in-wall subwoofer systems can deliver incredible performance while remaining out of sight.
SINGLE OR DUAL 8-INCH SUBWOOFER MODELS
IN-WALL OR IN-CEILING MODELS
UP TO 600 WATTS OF POWER
PAINTABLE, LOW-PROFILE GRILLE
INSTALLS IN STANDARD TWO-BY-FOUR OR TWO-BY-SIX STUD BAYS AND CEILINGS

A PERFECT FIT
This system can fit a variety of two-by-six and larger ceiling joists or any standard 16-inch wall studs.

BIG SOUND
Each system is powered by a rack-mountable amplifier — capable of generating up to 600 watts of clean power — and can drive one or two enclosures. A complete set of Fathom signal processing features is also on board.

PAINTABLE GRILLE
A paintable, fine steel-mesh grille, also designed to control vibration, is included with each enclosure.

HANDCRAFTED ENCLOSURE
The system enclosure is made of thin marine-grade birch plywood. This maximizes internal air space while remaining strong and rigid for optimal bass performance. We engineer each enclosure to incorporate an intricate web of internal braces, consisting of many CNC-machined parts.

AMPLIFIER WITH D.A.R.O. TECHNOLOGY
Each system is driven by a slim rack-mountable (one rack unit) amplifier with up to 600 watts of clean power. The complete set of Fathom signal processing features is on board, including our powerful 18-band Digital Automatic Room Optimization (D.A.R.O.) system and high-pass crossover outputs.

POWERFUL SUBWOOFER
Our innovative 8-inch thin-line subwoofer is an engineering marvel with a unique motor and suspension design that extracts every millimeter of excursion possible from its slim mounting depth. It didn’t exist, so we designed and built it.
FATHOM IWS SUBWOOFER TECHNOLOGIES
D.A.R.O. TECHNOLOGY
Exclusive D.A.R.O. technology from JL Audio uses a powerful onboard DSP to automatically optimize the subwoofer’s in-room frequency response. This leads to a superb listening experience, no matter where the subwoofer is placed.
DMA-OPTIMIZED WOOFER
Proprietary motor, suspension and cone modeling systems are used to achieve long, linear excursion capabilities with low distortion and powerful sound output.
FCAM™ TECHNOLOGY
This “floating cone attach method” of bonding the surround/cone assembly to the voice coil former/spider structure ensures proper surround geometry in the assembled speaker for better excursion control and dynamic voice coil alignment.
CONCENTRIC TUBE SUSPENSION™ DESIGN
This unique design allows the motor system to be placed higher in the cone body — further compressing depth while still permitting excellent mechanical excursion.
HIGH-DAMPING FEEDBACK CIRCUITRY
This proprietary, discrete control circuit design allows our Class-D switching amplifiers to maintain excellent damping factors for improved transient behavior and fidelity.
