This system is driven by a rack-mountable, purpose-tuned amplifier, capable of delivering up to 1 kW of clean power. It’s armed with serious processing features, including our acclaimed Digital Automatic Room Optimization (D.A.R.O.) system.

HANDCRAFTED ENCLOSURE
With its patented, floating mount design that minimizes wall excitation, this enclosure utilizes extensive architectural features aimed at improving rigidity while keeping a very low profile and minimal wall thickness. This system is available with single or dual subwoofer enclosures to fit two-by-four or two-by-six stud bays.

LOW-PROFILE DRIVER
The groundbreaking TW5v2 driver is capable of outstanding cone excursion, from a driver with minimal overall depth. It is the key to our unbeatable 13.5-inch Fathom in-wall subwoofer.

AMPLIFIER WITH D.A.R.O. TECHNOLOGY
Featuring our exclusive D.A.R.O. system and a proprietary Class-D design, the Fathom® Sav2 amplifier can deliver powerful output in almost any home theater or home audio system with up to 2000 watts of continuous power.

PAINTABLE GRILLE
A paintable, fine steel-mesh grille, also designed to control vibration, is included with each enclosure.
FATHOM IWSv2 TECHNOLOGIES
D.A.R.O. TECHNOLOGY
Exclusive D.A.R.O. technology from JL Audio uses a powerful onboard DSP to automatically optimize the subwoofer’s in-room frequency response. This leads to a superb listening experience, no matter where the subwoofer is placed.
DMA-OPTIMIZED WOOFER
Proprietary motor, suspension and cone modeling systems are used to achieve long, linear excursion capabilities with low distortion and powerful sound output.
FCAM™ TECHNOLOGY
This “floating cone attach method” of bonding the surround/cone assembly to the voice coil former/spider structure ensures proper surround geometry in the assembled speaker for better excursion control and dynamic voice coil alignment.
CONCENTRIC TUBE SUSPENSION™ DESIGN
This unique design allows the motor system to be placed higher in the cone body — further compressing depth while still permitting excellent mechanical excursion.
HIGH-DAMPING FEEDBACK CIRCUITRY
This proprietary, discrete control circuit design allows our Class-D switching amplifiers to maintain excellent damping factors for improved transient behavior and fidelity.
TAB-EAR FRAME DESIGN
This design reduces the driver’s overall dimensions, allowing it to be mounted in a space similar to that required by the next smaller round woofer frame.
